Marie Antoinette Lookout

along US Route 6

Marie Antoinette Lookout provides a scenic view over the French Azilum Historic Site, where French refugees built a colony in the 1700s. 

Directions: Along US Route 6, three miles west of Wyalusing. Look for a yellow 'Cold Beer/ Hot Food' sign, and turn off there. The overlook was not marked by signs along the highway as of our last visit.

Review:

The view of the river, farms, and mountains from this lookout are amazing. Unfortunately, the pull off is not marked, making it hard to find. The overlook needs some attention, as it hasn't been maintained for quite some time. If it's along your route, stop and enjoy the view, but don't go out of your way for it.
