Although most pictures may leave you wondering what the big deal is, standing near the base of this viaduct and realizing the sheer size of the structure compared to its surroundings will explain why this was deemed the 'Eighth Wonder of the World' when it was completed. The bridge is a true marvel in engineering, especially when you consider it was built nearly one hundred years ago, and is still in use today.
