Review:

The Sheraton is located near the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University, in an area just west of the Schuylkill River and Center City.

We found the rooms to be comfortable and spacious, equipped with a large screen television and an in-room computer with free access to the internet.

The bathroom was small, but functional and clean. There were some wear spots in the room, but nothing too serious.

The hotel has an onsite restaurant, Pallet, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as room service. An outdoor pool, open seasonally, and a fitness center are also available for guest use.

Parking (daily fee required) is available in the attached garage, accessible from 36th Street. The garage is tight, so you may have trouble with a larger vehicle. We were able to get in and around with our mid-size SUV without too much hassle.

While you will need transportation to most Center City and historic district destinations, there are several restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance of the hotel.

All in all, the Sheraton University City is a good choice if you are looking to stay close to Center City without being in it, or if you need to be in the area for easy access to the colleges or medical center.
