Going several hundred feet into the earth and seeing how anthracite coal was mined in the past is a real eye opener. After descending (on a steep grade) in a mine car, the rest of the tour is on foot. And remember, no matter what the weather is like above ground, it's always cool, damp, and breezy in the mine.
